Greetings! Spring is in the air and it is time to start thinking about the cleanup programs the Solid Waste District has to offer.

Spring Roadway Litter Cleanup
Deputies Bennett and Tillman and the PRIDE crew are offering roadway cleanups for
one day in the spring for each jurisdiction. Now is the time for you to provide us with a
list of roads you would like PRIDE to clean up before the mowing season begins.
Please email [email protected] or fax (937) 327-6648 your list.

Great American Cleanup (March 20 to June 20)
Enclosed is a registration form for the Great American Cleanup. This is our annual
volunteer cleanup. This is also a Keep Clark County Beautiful activity and is one of the
oldest and largest volunteer activities in the country. Please help us to get the word
out if you have a newsletter or some other way of communicating with your residents
and are willing to help spread the word.
In 2021- over 500 volunteers gave 552 hours of their time to remove 290 bags of litter
and debris from 26 sites around the county.

Community Cleanup Trailer
The Community Cleanup trailer will be available beginning March 15th for loan, free of
charge, to Clark County residents and community volunteer groups (minimum of five
households or groups with at least five adult volunteers). The trailer is stocked with
landscaping tools to help residents with trimming overgrown lots, removing debris, and
otherwise improving Clark County neighborhoods.
The CCSWD will deliver and pick up the trailer at a designated project area. The trailer
is loaned on a first-come, first-served basis. Please call Bonnie Martens at 521-2025
for trailer availability.

Specialty Recycling at the Recycling Center
The CCSWD is continuing its Specialty Recycling program on Thursdays 9am – 6pm
and the first Saturday of each month from 9am – 12pm. Additionally, we are now able
to accept packaging foam for recycling. Look for the “Styrofoam Only” bin at 1620 W.
Main St. Businesses can also bring in larger quantities, please call 937-521-2025 for
